Our Philosophy

We believe that yoga is for everyone and everybody and our doors are open to all people regardless of age, race/ethnicity, gender or gender identity. Valley Soul Yoga focuses on gentle forms of yoga that are safe and nurturing, including Hatha Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Yoga after 50/Prime of Life Yoga. Pranayama (yoga breath work) and Meditation are essential mindfulness activities and are included the practices we will share with you. 

We believe that yoga and mindfulness activities, as part of an overall wellness program, support physical and mental health and healthy aging.  While yoga does not replace medical care, it can be helpful to persons with physical and mental health concerns such as diabetes, high blood pressure and other cardiovascular problems, low bone density, women’s health issues, pregnancy, cancer, back problems, anxiety and depression.  (We do recommend that, if you have physical or mental health concerns, you check with your health care provider before starting yoga classes).
